An inexpensive, 4 to 5 year old Puer Tea with LOTS of Organic Ginger added. A tea you will appreciate with its clean aroma, deep red color, and smooth, mellow flavor, accented with the clean, sharp spiciness of the dried Organic Ginger from China.
Puer is known to have a "blocking" effect on the body and aids in reducing the absorption and retention of fats by the digestive system. It helps the fats to pass through. It is also effective in preventing and relieving the heartburn and indigestion that follows a "too rich" meal. In addition, it has a cleansing effect on the system and aids in detox.
Ginger is known to lower blood pressure and to have a cleansing effect on the blood and circulatory system, as well as a detox effect on the intestines, liver and kidneys.
When combined with the Puer, this makes for a very good overall detox / cleansing tea, and a very good tea for during and after heavy, rich and/or fatty meals.
Puer is recommended by Dr. Oz as part of a weight loss regimen in combination with Baimudan, Bilberry and Chickweed.
Puer at Breakfast, Baimudan at Lunch, Chickweed during the day (afternoon or evening) and Bilberry at bedtime.
Suggested daily dosage is 2 to 3 (8oz) cups of Chickweed per day, 1 to 2 cups of Bilberry, and as many cups of Baimudan & Puer as you like. Taking more of the Chickweed or Bilberry is not recommended as they can have uncomfortable and undesireable side effects - such as diarrhea, frequent urination, stomach cramps and related gastro-intestinal distresses.
Use 1 Tablespoon per 16 to 24 oz pot.
Use Boiling (212ºF.) water.
Steep for 5 to 7 minutes.
Puer can be re-steeped several times (some people say they get 10 steeps out of 1 serving of leaves, most get 4 to 6 steeps).
