Chickweed In its natural state is a small white flower with vibrant green stems known to contain a variety of beneficial properties including minerals, flavonoids and vitamin C. Also known as Stellaria media, Chickweed grows abundantly in sunny open areas.
When incorporated into a healthy lifestyle that includes a well balanced diet and regular exercise, Chickweed Tea is effective in aiding long term weight loss by acting as a mild diuretic to help the body flush excess water and fat from the system. In order to prevent dehydration from the diuretic properties, it is recommended to drink no more than two to three cups per day. When infused the aroma is mellow and herbaceous with a flavor that is verdant and lush that can be enjoyed as much for its unique taste as for its health benefits.
One of the major benefits of drinking chickweed tea is that it is a diuretic, which means that it helps the body flush excess water or fat from the system, leading to regular urination and a cleansed, toned body. This can lead to weight loss almost immediately. Chickweed is also said to act as a mild laxative, and help increase the body's metabolism, which doubles the weight loss effect. It's important to stick to only two or three cups of the tea per day, however, or else you might overdo the diuretic effect and lose too much water, becoming dehydrated. Some care should be taken.
