It is an inexpensive coffeemaker that consists of a glass beaker with a durable housing unit and a plunger mechanism that produces the most delicious coffee without using any electricity or paper filters. The Basel comes in 4 different colours, in 350ml and 800ml. Its press mechanism is made of Stainless Steel and its beaker made of heatproof Borosilicate glass. The Basel 350ml is a single brew coffee maker that is perfect for one person. The 800ml Basel is great for two people or two cups of coffee. The French Press coffee ratio is usually around 1-2 teaspoons of coarse ground coffee per cup of coffee to be made.

The Stainless Steel filter is easy to clean. Simply rinse in a sink, or put in the dishwasher. It can also be opened completely like other press mechanisms for deep cleaning. How to use a French press coffee maker

  • Step 1: Remove the press and place your coarse-ground coffee in the bottom of the beaker. The French Press coffee ratio is usually around 1-2 teaspoons of coarse ground coffee per cup of coffee to be made.
  • Step 2: Pour hot water over the coffee grinds, taking care to soak them entirely.
  • Step 3: Replace the lid and press, and wait 4 minutes for the coffee to steep.
  • Step 4: Gently press down on the plunger to finish the flavour extraction. Your coffee is ready to serve!

Care

  • Remove beaker from body and hand wash with soap and warm water. The beaker is dishwasher safe, but take care as other items knocking into it could cause breakage.
  • Hand-washing the plunger and filter mechanism is recommended.
  • Wipe down the body with a slightly damp cloth as needed, and dry with a soft dish towel.
